"To love God and others by receiving
ABOUT ME |
Hi, my name is Madison.
I was raised in Langdon, ND with my uniquely wonderful family. I have two older biological brothers and four younger adopted siblings with special needs. My family has introduced me to the harsh realities of this world, but my family has also taught me what authentic love is - choosing the good of the other person.
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in Catholic Studies. In about a year I will be participating in the University of Mary's Occupational Therapy Program. Along with being a member of the Emerging Leaders Academy, I play flute in the University of Mary's Concert Band and have served as a resident assistant for the past five semesters. Driven by my faith in God, I strive to find the purpose in each moment, task, and person I encounter. Being a motivated person, I have a vision for not only my future life but every day. Yes, I look forward to the adventures of service my degrees will unveil, but I have learned that where I am at right now holds just as much importance. I might not yet have the skills to help people in the ways my future careers will allow, but I still have the ability to leave people better than I found them. My interests involve practicing my faith, having intentional conversations with friends, being in nature, educational reading, cooking/baking, running, snowboarding, water sports, and creating art. |
